Massive chunk of almost pure kunzite from Nigeria, with beautiful deep lavender/purple color. This isn't a little kunzite on a host rock, it's almost entirely kunzite with a tiny amount of feldspar (the white parts) and black tourmaline (the black streaks). It is highly UV reactive and you can tell by the UV pics (using a 365nm longwave UV light) that the kunzite goes all the way through. It's Nigerian origin (one of the less common locales to find kunzite) is what gives it's deep color and incredible UV reactivity over specimens from other locales, often they are much less reactive. A 365nm light is highly recommend though for best results, but even without UV it is a beautiful piece!
