VULCANUS Board Game

KAIJU ON THE EARTH Series, First Edition
This is the first edition of VULCANUS.
A recent updated version has been released, so I am selling the first edition to save space.

I've played it quite a bit, so there's a used feel to it, but it doesn't affect gameplay (images 3 and 4).
Some of the tokens have been replaced with the new version, so those are brand new.
Also, I'll include the extra cards that came with the subsequent series, Leviathus and Yggdrasus, as a bonus (image 5).

An asymmetrical cooperative game for 1 kaiju vs. 1-3 humans.
The kaiju's objective is to destroy Tokyo at all costs.
The humans' objective is to cooperate and protect Tokyo from the kaiju.

The kaiju unlocks and evolves various abilities as the game progresses and as they achieve destruction.
Victory is achieved by increasing the damage level within a set number of turns.
The kaiju side is at a numerical disadvantage, but the thrill of gradually gaining more abilities and accelerating the destruction of the city is appealing.

The humans have various roles, each with their own strengths, to prevent the kaiju's destruction and protect the people and the city.
The human side has shared resources that are needed for almost all actions.
Managing and coordinating those resources, cooperating with each other, and playing well is both challenging and fun.
