Garnet jewellery has been popular for centuries, with examples found in ancient Egyptian tombs. During the Victorian era, garnets were particularly fashionable, often set in sterling silver or gold. These earrings appear to be from the early to mid-20th century, possibly the Art Deco period, which was known for geometric designs and the use of gemstones like garnets. Condition: purchased from auction, these are preloved earrings that may show signs of age and wear.
