Vintage Soviet Union USSR desk clock--Majak

This vintage Soviet-era desk clock is an ideal decorative piece for any office desk. It features a distinctive Art Deco style, with a chunky cut crystal glass body and a black Bakelite base. The clock has a mechanical movement, with 11 jewels, and was produced in the USSR, primarily in the 1950's through to the Mid 1970's. The dial is brass and is encased within a clear crystal. Majak clocks were manufactured by the Serdobsk Clock Factory. This model is early to mid 1960's. These clocks were originally priced at 28rubles, about a third of the average salary at the time. Full height of the clock is 20cm. Diameter of the outer glass body is about 16cm. Clock is in full working order. Condition is fair to good. The clock will be well bubble wrapped and boxed.
