Ultrasonic+IR Range Finder - IRXLMaxSonar - MB2530

The MB2530 Ultrasonic + IR Rangefinder from Maxbotix is a high performance sensor for monitoring distance and proximity within 50cm to 1650cm with a 1cm resolution. This sensing configuration makes for excellent large object detection while still having side object rejection. It has a 1.8Hz read rate and three output options; pulse-width, analog voltage, and RS232. The MB2530 also features a verified, extended operating temperature range from -40C to 65C.

The features of the MB2530 make it the perfect choice for cargo monitoring and asset tracking. Keeping track of whether an item is there and if it's still oriented how it needs to be is easy with this sensor. WIth a footprint of less than a cubic inch, it fits in most applications in the shipping/asset area. Mounting holes make it easy to integrate into your product or project as well.

In addition, the MB2530 provides optical reflectance based detection combined with sonar to provide virtually 100% detection of objects.
