The Lemon Drop Kid (1951) is a comedy film directed by Sidney Lanfield and starring Bob Hope, Marilyn Maxwell and Lloyd Nolan. The story follows Sidney Milburn, a racetrack tout known as "The Lemon Drop Kid" due to his fondness for the candy, who inadvertently causes gangster Moose Moran to lose a $10,000 bet. To repay the debt by Christmas, The Kid devises a scheme involving street-corner Santas collecting for a fake charity.
