The Easter Bunny Is Comin' to Town (1977) is a stop-motion animated television special directed by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass, featuring the voice talents of Fred Astaire, Skip Hinnant and Bob McFadden. The narrative follows the origins of the Easter Bunny, beginning in the village of Kidville, inhabited solely by children. One Easter morning, the children discover a sad baby bunny among them, whom they name Sunny. As Sunny grows, he ventures into the nearby town of Town, populated entirely by adults except for 7-year-old King Bruce. As a gesture of friendship, Sunny begins delivering painted eggs to King Bruce, introducing the first Easter eggs.
