This item is a Star Trek M-113 Creature Diorama, also known as the Salt Vampire, produced by the company Applause.
The diorama depicts a scene from the very first aired episode of the original Star Trek, titled "The Man Trap".
The M-113 creature is a highly intelligent alien that requires sodium chloride (salt) to survive.
It has telepathic abilities, allowing it to assume the form of anyone it wishes to lure victims, in this case, appearing as a former lover to a scientist on the planet.
