| The Larson Electronics SPLED-PNL-EXB-2X Solar Charge System is an innovative power solution for lights, cameras and other remote electrical equipment and is suited for various applications where solar power is desired. This 30-watt solar panel comes equipped with 10 feet of 16/2 SOOW cable, a Y-splitter and two sets of battery clamps for charging two batteries (not included) simultaneously. This solar panel can be utilized to charge customer-provided batteries in remote locations. The 30-watt solar panel offers a maximum output of 2.5A/hr. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on very cloudy days, the unit will not recharge. The solar panel is weatherproof and designed to catch the maximum amount of sunlight possible when properly mounted. Operators may access an on/off switch for manual activation/deactivation. The system is not compatible with lithium-ion batteries. Wiring: Customer-provided batteries can be connected to the panel by a 10-foot 16/2 SOOW cord that provides flexibility for positioning of the solar panel and equipment into their respective optimum locations independently of each other. A Y-splitter and two sets of battery clamps are also provided with the system, which can be used to charge up to two customer-provided batteries simultaneously. Mounting: For optimized placement of the solar panel, the solar charge system is offered in a surface mounting or pole/pipe mounting (1" OD) configuration. Applications/Options: The SPLED-PNL-EXB-2X is an ideal solution for charging compatible batteries in areas with limited access to reliable infrastructure, locations that receive ample sunlight and remote sites, such as in rural locations or marine environments. |
