Power Grid: The middle East/South Africa expansion, The newest addition to the hugely popular and award-winning Game, offers new challenges with two new maps. With the middle East map, the players start the Game with an excessive supply of oil, and access to plenty of natural gas to reflect the abundance of oil in the middle East. However, as the Game progresses, the so-called peak oil Looms and the output of oil from wells diminishes. The South Africa map reflects the energy supply in South Africa which is executed almost exclusively by a single trust. The Game board contains six international power connections and reflects South Africa's Reliance on coal.
