Pink & Grey Sculptural Headpiece

This piece is from The Milliner’s Stash. I’m the founder of a couture millinery brand, and the stash is where ideas move fast. This headpiece was made as part of an exploration into form, layering, and contrast — playing with soft structure, sculptural lines, and tactile materials. The blush pink base is paired with a grey sculptural element that rises and twists through the crown, creating movement and asymmetry. The button detail and sharp edges give the piece a slightly off-beat, experimental feel — very much about process and shape rather than polish. This is a one-off prototype. It won’t be repeated, and it’s not bespoke. Some stash pieces are made quickly to get an idea out of my head; others involve more time as part of a learning or development exercise. This piece sits firmly in that exploratory space — finished, wearable, and thoughtfully made, just without the refinement or price point of couture. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
