The GR86/BRZ, popular as domestically produced FR sports cars available from the 2 million yen range, saw the first generation released 10 years ago and the second generation last year, gaining acceptance from a wide range of users. This special feature focuses on the wide range of tuning and customization for the 86/BRZ.

First, we'll check the differences between the old and new 86 and the new GR86/BRZ in a real car at Kansai Service. A comparison test drive with the old bolt-on turbo specification, which doesn't lose to the new model in terms of performance, is a must-see.

Next, we'll check the trends of five domestic comprehensive tuning manufacturers that are actively developing aftermarket parts. We'll visit HKS, Trust, Blitz, Apex, and Sard, and introduce the parts currently under development and the best-selling parts for the first-generation 86/BRZ.

In addition, we'll cover the Phoenix Power top speed specification, which holds the record for the 86/BRZ, and the circuit specifications of HKS Technical Factory and Auto Produce Boss. We'll get close to the making of the fastest machines.

Furthermore, we'll introduce the real voices of owners who enjoy circuit driving and endurance races with the 86, RX-8 owners who are considered rivals of the 86/BRZ, and Swift Sport owners who chase the 86/BRZ with FF turbo. We'll also show the circuit & drift specification machine make found at the '86 Avengers' held at Tsukuba Circuit, along with the owners' comments.

Meanwhile, the theme of the booklet appendix is 'Complete CHECK of New Parts'. Focusing on the parts announced at the Tokyo Auto Salon, we'll feature the aftermarket parts selected by the editorial department, as well as 'Parts that didn't sell well' as heard from the manufacturer's staff, 'Parts that were thought to be groundbreaking' as heard from tuners, and 'Parts that were good to have' as spoken by the editorial staff.
