This figurine is 4.25" tall, 4” wide and the trademark (2 Circle Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1957-1960. This figurine has no chips, mars, repairs or crazing, it is in perfect shape. Created by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1948 from a drawing by Sister Maria.
Sister Maria had a love of children, and a whimsical nature, sketching them in various situations. This young girl, in her babushka, is tending to her hens and three little chicks feeding them from a bowl full of grain. One chick is even on her arm! It is so cute and a must have for collectors!
Over 50 years old and is still an extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory! There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.
