PrimaLoft® is a high-performance synthetic insulation (padding) originally developed for the US military. GAP products utilize this material's advantages.
Excellent Heat Retention: Ultra-fine polyester fibers trap air, providing warmth comparable to down.
Used by Patagonia, The North Face, Arc'teryx, Wild Things, Nike, and L.L.Bean.
Water-Resistant & Quick-Drying: Down loses its insulating ability when wet, but PrimaLoft® is water-repellent, maintains warmth even when wet (retaining 96% thermal insulation), and dries quickly.
Lightweight & Compact: Very lightweight and soft, it doesn't bulk up, providing a comfortable fit.
Hypoallergenic: Being a synthetic material, it's suitable for those with down allergies.
It's warm. It doesn't bulk up, so it's also recommended as an inner down layer.
I think the size is a bit large.
