A soul vocal quartet of the first degree, the aptly named First Class hailed from Baltimore and released three excellent albums during the years 1974 to 1980. The members of First Class were master vocalists Fred M. Brown, Harold A. Bell III, Sylvester Redditt and Tony "Birdman" Yarborough. Some of their memorable hits include "What About Me," "Me And My Gemini," "This Is It" and "Coming Back To You." Known for their well-arranged songs and soaring falsetto vocals, the group became quite popular in the northeast US and their popularity spilled over to the UK and Europe as well. Featured here is "Ready Made Family" b/w "Party Line" - a rare single originally released in 1988 on the legendary Creative Funk label featuring female vocalist Annise Odom. The newly remastered single as presented here includes the original 12" vinyl mixes of both tracks and a bonus 12" instrumental version of "Party Line" - plus the hard to find 45 RPM mix of "Ready Made Family" for a total of four tracks.
