DUBUFFET / Jean Dubuffet

I think Jean Dubuffet was a pioneer of outsider art, researching the art of people called outsiders and bringing it to the art scene. There's a reason why I like him. I was abroad for modeling at the time, and the place I was staying was incredibly dirty. I had to go to auditions all day and was very tired, and since the place I returned to was like that, I often felt depressed. But, there was a very wonderful three-dimensional artwork by this person at the nearest station to my lodging. A bus went around and around that sculpture, circling it. The only moment of respite for me was when I saw that large sculpture, and I received some energy for the future, which I still knew nothing about. I wonder if there's a certain kind of goodness you can find when you're going through a tough time. I have memories of being helped by this person.
