【Product Description】
Although Canon has now withdrawn from consumer video, they released new products every year from around 1986 to 2000, and many advanced models were also available for enthusiasts. Among them, the VM-E708 seems to have been popular.

【Condition】
No video output. Even when connected to a TV via LINEOUT, the display is the same as the viewfinder. The lens zoom works. When the focus button is pressed, it tries to focus and moves. The tape compartment door does not open. When the eject button is pressed, the metal frame inside rises to a position where it can be removed, but the door does not open, and the power lamp flashes after a while. When the power button is held down to turn off the power and then turned back on, the metal frame returns to the lower position. The switch below the tape operation buttons is recessed. The EDIT switch does not move to the ON position. It is thought that the internal switch panel (circuit board?) is detached or warped. I tried to disassemble the unit by removing the screws, but I gave up because I found that the main body cover cannot be removed unless the tape door is removed.

【Notes】
There is no connector for battery charging, so the battery cannot be charged. The remote control is not included.
