The Larson Electronics EXP-BCHR-120V-2X0.75-26A-4X Explosion Proof Battery Charger is designed for battery repair, charging, restoration and maintenance in Class I, Division 1 and Class II, Division 1 environments. The NEMA 4X-rated unit accepts 120V AC @ 50-60 Hz input and provides 12-24V DC output. Constructed of cast aluminum, operators can access terminal strips for completing connections to a 120V power source (input) and a customer-provided battery (output).
The EXP-BCHR-120V-2X0.75-26A-4X is a compact, explosion proof battery charger for combustible environments and work sites. This unit offers 120V AC input voltage @ 50-60 Hz. A low voltage range of 12-24V DC is provided on the output side. Maximum amps include 26A at 12V, 19.5A at 16V and 13.5A at 24V. The explosion proof charger is compatible with the following types of batteries: wet, gel, MF, CA, EFB, AGM and LIB. During use, the charger operates at 85% efficiency. Suitable for battery repair or recovery, this unit is designed for batteries up to 500 aH (250 aH for 16/24V).
During operation, the explosion proof charger uses high-frequency switch mode technology for optimized AC to DC conversion. This Class I, Division 1 and Class II, Division 1 device is safe to run continuously and can be left connected at all times. Smart charging capabilities ensure the connected battery is not damaged during the process, resulting in minimized risks related to combustion.
The device is constructed of cast aluminum, with stainless steel hinges and bolts. A NEMA 4X rating ensure safe use in indoor and outdoor locations, as well as protection from water spray, moisture, dust, corrosion and external ice formation.
Wiring/: The EXP-BCHR-120V-2X0.75-26A-4X contains terminal strips for connecting 120V to the explosion proof charger (input). On the output side, four terminal strip connections are available for connecting customer-provided batteries. Two, 3/4" NPT hubs are accessible for completing connections to the explosion proof device. Operators can mount the battery charger on flat surfaces and walls via four openings at each corner of the explosion proof enclosure.
