A great vintage soul group formed in 1969, Black Ivory originally recorded for the Today label, a subsidiary of the Perception label – home to the Fatback Band and the legendary soul poet Wanda Robinson, who would record her first album using Black Ivory’s music as the background for her poetry recitations.
