Bernard Plossu: Western Colors
I purchased this new on Amazon several years ago and have stored it, mostly unread.
Therefore, the overall condition isn't bad, but there is a small stain and what appears to be a print smudge on the first page of the photos. It was likely there when I purchased it.
I apologize that it's difficult to see, but please refer to photos 6 and 7.
It doesn't interfere with the printed part of the photos, so it shouldn't affect your viewing experience too much, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
I will wrap it in cushioning material and place it in a plastic bag to protect it from water damage before shipping.
Please note that I may suddenly delete this listing as I am currently organizing my belongings in preparation for a move.
____________
Bernard Plossu is called "the most American photographer in France" by his friend and colleague, Lewis Baltz. While well-known for his monochrome works capturing a free-spirited bohemian world, Plossu has also photographed in color throughout his career.
This book introduces 88 bold and cinematic color photographs (many previously unpublished) taken by Plossu during his stays in America from the 1970s to the early 80s. Unmistakable American landscapes such as motels, rodeos, deserts, and highways are vividly expressed using the Fresson carbon print technique, creating a realm colored by the rough yet dreamlike, mythical images of the Old West. This is an impressive and atmospheric collection by an exceptionally talented photographer.
