A beautiful walnut and gold gilt folk style primitive picture frame dated circa 1860's. The frame consists of two layers connected using antique nails. The outer layer constructed of solid walnut with alternating black ebonized lines. The innermost layer is gold gilt with an ornate stenciled design. Fits images approximately 8'' x 10''. The space the frame takes up on the wall is approximately 12.25'' x 14.25'' and 3'' deep. Frame is wired to hang vertically but can easily be re-wired to hang horizontally. Perfect to hang antique paintings, prints, photographs, samplers, tapestries, mirrors, and much more. Great original antique condition! Wear/scratches to frame due to age. Some cracks, spotting, chips to gold gilt layer. Please review all images as they are part of the condition report.
