Antique chatelaine watch pin brooch crafted in gold plated sterling silver (vermeil) . The design feature openwork scrolls with a small loop at the bottom, originally intended to suspend a lady’s pocket watch, locket, or charm.
Fitted with an early handmade safety catch. Marked on the loop with a partial, indistinct maker’s stamp. While no sterling mark is visible, the metal has been acid tested and confirmed as sterling silver beneath the gold plating.
This dainty piece measures approximately 15/16" long by 1 1/8" wide and weighs 2.1 grams.
Circa 1900/1910s.
Good antique condition with light wear to the gold plated finish, consistent with age. Please see photos for details.
