Alphacool's layer of ice, like other thermal pads, can even out the unevenness of the heat sink and the elements to be cooled. But it has one special feature: the ice layer consists of thermal paste with an embedded fabric! This ensures that the performance of these pads is significantly more efficient than with normal thermal pads, regardless of the low W / mK value. In addition, a better distribution and filling between the areas is achieved. This also means that better air displacement is achieved. Due to their soft consistency, there is no pressure on components or solder joints. Nvidia also uses these types of pads for the Founders Edition.
