He was one of the few singers that managed to perfect the famously difficult "Three-in-one" yodel first recorded by his inspiration, Wilf "Montana Slim" Carter Hear his own versions of his most famous compositions "When It's Apple Blossom Time In Annapolis Valley" and "My Nova Scotia Home" Hear examples of his historic ballads, novelty songs, gospel songs, love songs and cowboy songs Great, traditional country backings, a few with solo guitar others backed by his own "Bar X Cowboys" and a couple backed by top Canadian western group Evan Kemp & The Trailriders Four duets with female songstress Clover Lane 29 full-length tracks This compilation includes recordings from his very first in 1940 through his periods with Gavotte and RCA in the 1950s to his session with Aragon in 1961 To the best of our knowledge, this is the only currently available CD of Alberta Slim and his first CD release in twenty-seven years!
