The WAL-QP26-2XWP60E-20 from Larson Electronics is a Winchpod LED Light Tower that offers operators the ability to raise the LED light heads to a maximum height of 26 feet using the three stage quadpod and manual hand crank winch. This portable light tower can be collapsed to 11 feet when a lower height is preferred or for operation during strong winds. The two LED light heads produce a combined 10,800 lumens of high-intensity LED light for bright illumination of the desired area.
Light Features: The LED light heads on this quadpod provide 10,800 lumens of light and are an energy efficient alternative to 500 Watt quartz halogen lamps. Each flood light consists of 45 LEDs paired with purity specular optics to produce a wide light distribution. Each lamp is constructed of three angeled boards; the center board shines forward and the side boards have a 45° offset, shining to the side. The housing is waterproof powder coated aluminum and contains integral cooling fins for heat dissipation and LED longevity. The LEDs are protected by a polycarbonate lens sealed to the housing with a waterproof seal.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Mounting: This portable quadpod light tower is comprised of a removable LED light assembly fitted with two LED lamps mounted atop a four leg winch quadpod fabricated from heavy duty steel. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twenty-six feet and collapsed to eleven feet. Each leg is four feet in length for added support. The unit is extended and lowered using an included hand crank cable winch equipped with a brake for fast and safe deployment. The first stage is 9.42` in length and built from 4" x 4" square steel tubing, the second stage is 9.71` in length and built from 3" x 3" square steel tubing with the top stage measuring 10.13` in length and built from 2" x 2" square steel tubing. Included solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. The light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the lights and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamps can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side independently of each other and locked into position for maximum coverage of the work area.
